2023 Cases of Interest

by Bob Spearing and FIs

MUFON 2023 Cases of Interest Presentation, Saturday, July 13,2024

Each year the Mutual UFO Network scans the nearly 5,000 cases that witnesses send us to investigate from the year prior. We look for cases that present as interesting, visually entertaining, and important. We then present between five and ten of these cases each summer at our Cases of Interest presentation at our annual Symposium. The presentation is moderated by Bob Spearing, MUFON’s Director of International Investigations.

The criteria for these cases are that they either must have occurred in 2023, were reported in 2023 but could be of an historical nature or they have been an ongoing phenomenon being investigated with 2023 being important. Whenever possible, we try to have the original investigator present their case.

The year 2023 was rich in reports of an unusual nature. Some cases we will present as stand-alones concerning triangles and entity encounters. However, one major theme that emerged last year will be presented as a suite of cases. These cases revolved around attempted animal abductions, successful animal abductions and animal mutilations. Spoiler Alert: It’s just not cows! The attendee will get a clear understanding of how our Laboratory in Missouri uses scientific methods to help us forensically with our conclusions.

We hope to see you there!
