Stanton T. Friedman

“60 Years of Ufology”

Stanton T. Friedman will synopsize his 60 years of being involved with Ufology.  When he purchased his first book about UFOs, Ruppelt’s “The Report on Unidentified Flying Objects” in 1958, his goal was to save the shipping fees on a book order from Marboro Books.  It was marked down from $2.99 to $1.00.  It intrigued him and he read 10 more UFO books, some of them a waste.  While in the University of California, Berkeley Library, he discovered a copy of the largest study ever done for the Air Force “Project Blue Book Special Report Number 14” which included a totally misleading press release and all kinds of data about the 3201 sightings covered.  It had not been mentioned in the books he had read.

Stanton T. Friedman will discuss how he has lectured about UFOs at more than 700 colleges and professional groups in all 50 states, all 10 Canadian Provinces and in 19 other countries.  He will tell you about his name being on six books.  He will speak about appearing on TV and radio programs.  Winning debates with debunkers will also be addressed.   Fortunately, he has worked on a variety of classified advanced technology programs including nuclear airplanes, nuclear rockets and nuclear power plants for space applications.

Stanton Friedman is a nuclear physicist, author, and lecturer.  He received his Bachelor of Science and Master of Science Degrees in Physics from the University of Chicago in 1955 and 1956.  He was employed for 14 years as a nuclear physicist by such companies as GE, GM, Westinghouse Astronuclear Laboratory, TRW Systems, Aerojet General Nucleonics, and McDonnell-Douglas Astronautics.  He worked in highly advanced classified and eventually cancelled programs as nuclear aircraft, fission and fusion rockets, and various compact nuclear power plants for space and terrestrial applications.

Stanton T. Friedman became interested in UFOs in 1958, and since 1967 has lectured about them at more than 600 colleges and 100 professional groups in 50 United States, 10 Canadian Provinces and 18 other countries.  He has published more than 90 UFO papers.   He has appeared on hundreds of radio and TV programs including being on Larry King four times.  He has appeared on many documentaries as well.

Stanton T. Friedman is the original civilian investigator of the Roswell Incident and he co-authored “Crash at Corona:  The Definitive Study of the Roswell Incident.”  Top Secret/Majic is his controversial book about the Majestic 12 group, 2nd edition that was published in 2005.  He is the co-author with Kathleen Marden (Betty Hill’s niece) of a book in 2007:  “Captured!  The Betty and Barney Hill UFO Experience.”  His book “Flying Saucers and Science” was published in June, 2008, and is in its 4th printing.  His newest book “Science Was Wrong:  Startling Truths About Cures, Theories, and Inventions “They” Declared Impossible”  with Kathleen Marden, was published in June, 2010.

July 2, 2019 marks the day that Stanton T. Friedman was inducted into the Roswell, New Mexico, UFO Hall of Fame for his long term investigative efforts on that important case.  Both TOP SECRET/MAJIC and “Captured!  The Betty and Barney Hill UFO Experience” have been optioned for movies by Stellar Productions of Hollywood.

Stanton T. Friedman has provided written testimony to Congressional Hearings, appeared twice at the United Nations, and has been a pioneer in many aspects of ufology including Roswell, Majestic 12, The Betty Hill-Marjorie Fish star map work, analysis of the Delphos, Kansas, physical trace case, crashed saucers, flying saucer technology, and challenges to the S.E.T. I. (Silly Effort To Investigate) cultists.  He has spoken at more MUFON Symposiums than anyone else.
